My husband also likes Laptops too! He has bought some off of eBay. He bought a really great one off there and saved allot of money. It was very cheap!
It also had a large screen. And looks like new

My wife and I have a combined total of 4 laptops. When we moved we got rid of our desktops to save room. We can work on the couch with our laptops and its just easier.
One of my laptops I bought for $1.00 it didnt work and all it was was a video card that I bought on e b a y and it was only $35.00. So I would say 36.00 for a laptop is pretty good. haha

Laptops are so much more convenient and with the newer processors are as fast and full featured as tower based computers.

I was a Dell man through and through until I had to sit through some marathon tech support calls with some guy from Mumbai who I could barely understand. I have had a Toshiba in the past and it was nice. I use an HP at the moment though.
